Hike Sole 2 Soul® is a spiritually uplifting guided hike to work out your body, rest your mind and be with nature. Just show up and everything is taken care of. All that is required of you is to take one step at a time, breathe, and focus on you. A qualified certified personal trainer will be with you for guidance and support. Once you are comfortable with the hike, silent hikes are encouraged.

Hikes are generally anywhere from 2 to 5 miles in length and can take anywhere form 45 minutes to 2 1/2 hours depending on the hiker’s fitness level. You can expect moderate inclines and declines.

What if I am a beginning hiker, can I sign up? Absolutely! Prior to your first hike, all hikers are required to complete a health and fitness questionnaire to make this hiking experience safe, effective and fun for you. This is not a competitive fitness program. The hikes are designed for the beginner and intermediate hiker. It’s a wonderful way to leave the world behind so you can just be. Remember, if you have fun exercising, you are more likely to maintain your exercise program. FUN is key!

Where are the hikes? We enjoy hikes in the South Bay and the Peninsula areas.

Letty’s Intention: Letty’s intention for creating Hike Sole 2 Soul® is to share the joy of hiking. She has been leading hikes since 1996. There are many benefits of hiking. It improves your cardiovascular capacity, does wonders for your hips and thighs, and quiets your mind. Sole 2 Soul® Hikes are designed to release physical and mental tensions in a fun and nurturing way.

In today’s world, we often pride ourselves on doing multiple tasks at once—yet we also have a great need and yearning to relax and rest deeply. When we relax deeply into ourselves, we quiet ourselves and naturally connect with what is truly important. As a result, all is in balance from the inside-out. When we are balance, we connect to our whole self and we come present.

Restorative yoga is a gentle and simple process that allows us to breathe fully, relax completely and re-member ourselves, our bodies and our lives. It’s “relax on demand”. Experience restorative yoga and bring the practice back with you so you can produce the same relaxation effect right in your own home and at work. Learning how to relax-on-demand, anytime, anywhere, is an essential life skill.

Letty has been practicing restorative yoga since 2000. She has been a certified Relax and Renew® Restorative Yoga Teacher since 2003 as taught by the Senior Iyengar Yoga Master Judith Lasater, PhD.
